Now complete is a wonderful website celebrating the professional life of Pirke Jones, who passed away March 15, 2009. Pirkle came of age as a photographer under the tutelage of such greats as Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange and Minor White. He documented the lives of ordinary and extraordinary people in California in several projects both alone and in collaboration with his former mentors.
